Entorno de Paz means “Peace Place or Peace Sanctuary”. It was founded by Lama Gangchen Rimpoche , Tibetan Healing Lama, for the dissemination of Ngalso Self Healing practices and the creation of a peace culture. It is run by the Asociación Entorno de Paz, a charitable organization that operates in collaboration with the FLGPM (the Lama Gangchen Foundation for World Peace), a United Nations-affiliated NGO, and a member of the consultative body ECOSOC. Entorno de Paz offers a place for meditation, the development of inner peace, holistic healthcare and protection of the environment.
In December 2005, the centre took receipt of replicas of the Borobudur Mandala and the Five Dhyani Buddhas, which were carved on the island of Java, in Indonesia. The Borobudur Monument is a Buddhist Symbol of Peace and is recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
