The Guru Puja (Lama Chöpa, in Tibetan) is a ritual of invocation and offerings to the Spiritual Masters, which pacifies negative energies and increases positive qualities. The practice is a compendium of Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana buddhist teachings, which shows us how to integrate Lam Rim, Lo Jong and other Mahamudra practices with a meditation on the principal yidams of the Gelugpa Ganden Nyengyu school.
We dedicate the puja to achieving inner and world peace. It is a practice we do especially on the 10th and 25th days of the Tibetan lunar month. In addition, one can dedicate it to sick people or those who have recently died, as well as for the success of personal or social projects. Attendees can bring food to offer and share during the puja feast.
