At the age of twelve, Lama Michel decided spontaneously to undertake a monastic life in the University of Sera Me in southern India, where he stayed for twelve years, receiving teachings from renowned Tibetan Masters on Buddhist philosophy.
Lama Michel Rimpoche is a very special person. Many people have seen his energy as the pure energy of Maitreya, the future Buddha of Compassion. His Tibetan name is Chang Chub Chopel Lobsang Nyetrab, which means Wise and Famous Mind of Enlightenment that Spreads Dharma Successfully.
He is currently responsible for a number of centres and projects conceived by Lama Gangchen Rimpoche in Europe and Brazil.
