The Entorno de Paz Meditation Centre overlooks the passenger port and lies just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre. Almeria occupies a privileged position and enjoys a warm, sunny climate. It is the sunniest part of Europe, enjoying 360 days of sunshine a year.
The airport lies only a few minutes from the capital and there are regular, direct flights to Madrid, Barcelona and several other European cities. The A-92 motorway connects the city to the rest of Andalucía, while the Mediterranean Highway (the A-7 motorway) leads directly to the French border and the rest of Europe. Almería also has a rail link.
