The centre is directed towards the practice and diffusion of the methods of the Ngalso Tantric Self-Healing lineage of Lama Gangchen Rimpoche. Each Tuesday and Thursday at 8 pm we do the various practices and meditations. The meditations are preceded by explanations about the essence, structure and way to do the practice (the visualizations, mantras, mudras), in order to help newcomers who are not familiar with these methods to understand them, and to inspire existing practitioners to go deeper into the various aspects of the practice. For other activities, consult the programme. Entrance is free to members.
Ngalso Tantric Self-Healing Practices
«What I am trying to do with these self-healing methods is to teach people how to achieve external peace by developing inner peace. I am putting the essence of the Buddha's teachings into a format that is suitable for today's world, reformulating the terminology and lifting it out of what we might call the historical religious tradition
” Lama Gangchen.
Ngalso Self-Healing practices are meditations for body, speech and mind in the Tibetan Tantric tradition. Using mantras, mudras, visualisations and awareness of the breath, we can dissolve the blockages in out chakras, and cleanse our negative energies and emotions, such as fear, jealousy, pride, miserliness, anger, nervousness, unlimited desire and closed-mindedness.

Tantric Self-Healing II
Mantras, mudras, visualization and breathing gradually transform the pollution and impure energies of mind and body, transforming them into the completely pure energies that are symbolized by the Five Dhyani Buddhas. The practice works at a very subtle level to help us overcome physical illnesses, emotional blockages, addictions and bad habits. For the spiritual practitioner, it has the potential to develop the state of Enlightenment.
“We need to use a language that people can readily understand and this is why I use these simple and accessible forms. Even so, there are limitations in understanding many of their meanings. I believe that we have to entrain all the knowledge of different civilizations, the essence of the knowledge, culture and traditions of the past:; everything that can be of use and benefit to humanity and which can be used to create a new global civilization.” Lama Gangchen.
• Self-Healing for the Environment
“There are numerous techniques [for healing the environment] described in the teachings of sutra and tantra. We often talk about ecosystems, about protecting the environment - we have to purify the everyday surroundings where we live. It is not about finding a new planet to live on – we must purify the environment that we have. We must try and avoid the environment becoming hostile towards living beings, to make them compatible with this Earth, to make Earth habitable, by applying these purification techniques. This is the reason that the Buddha spoke about purifying the Buddha field.” Lama Gangchen.
Our planet has come at a difficult moment in time, with pollution and natural disasters threatening the both planet and mankind. As well as conserving natural resources and develop clean energies, we can also contribute to the purification of our environment by applying the tantric methods of the Tibetan tradition.
The five elements of earth, water, fire, wind and space are the basis of all phenomena that exist. Contamination of the outer elements causes pollution and disharmony of our inner elements. As a result, we are seeing more and more physical and mental diseases developing which are difficult to heal. By meditating on the Five Great Element Mothers, using visualizations, mantras and mudras, we can eliminate the contamination of our inner and outer elements and regenerate them in a clean-clear state.
• Chittamani Tara
«Life is heavy with both internal and external fears. In our hearts we fear the uncertainties of life, the loss of our freedom, power, fame and social standing. We fear loneliness, poverty, boredom, new situations, as well as small changes in our routines: We fear sickness, suffering, ageing and death. Instead of becoming overpowered by our fears or simply ignoring them, we need a profound method that can help us overcome and heal our outer, inner and secret fears.» Lama Gangchen.
The Chittamani Tara practice is a method for overcoming fears, eliminating laziness, developing courage and enthusiasm, and overcoming any kind of obstacle in our life.
Tara represents the feminine wisdom energy, that is quick to come to the aid of those that ask for her help. This healing method from the Tibetan tantric tradition consists of familiarizing ourselves with and gradually embodying the pure crystal energy body of the female divinity Tara, who transforms our external, inner and secret fears into infallible action. If we do her practice regularly, we can obtain all the mundane and transcendental attainments.
In ancient times, Tara was a real person – Yeshe Dawa, or Princess Wisdom Moon. She used her feminine power to advantage and reached enlightenment, so providing a spiritual role model for other women to follow.
"May Harmony and peace prevail on earth and within each individual through the promotion of physical and mental well-being.
May all physical, mental, environmental and planetary disturbances on the gross, subtle and very subtle levels be pacified through the healing energies of the Seven Medicine Buddhas and may our relative inner and outer energies be linked to their absolute pure energies". Lama Gangchen.
Despite incredible scientific progress, healing the body and mind is not easy to achieve, and the numerous therapies available often prove insufficient, even inadequate, to cure our sicknesses on a profound and subtle level.
This practice shows us how to connect with the pure energy and absolute power of Supreme Healer Shakyamuni Buddha, who manifested the Seven Medicine Buddhas in His seven chakras. Meditating with love and compassion on the healing archetypes of the Seven Medicine Buddhas gives us access to potent healing powers that can help us to take care of our health and wellbeing, and help us heal other beings, our environment and our planet.
• Crystal Massage
These practices are related to the buddhist tantras such as Guhyasamaya, Chakrasambhava, Vajrayogini and Kalachakra. They are advanced meditations that Lama Gangchen Rimpoche is transmitting in a very accessible way for practitioners of the Third Millennium. Throughout history, practitioners have meditated in isolated places, and over long periods; nowadays , that is not possible, and we need new approaches to learning and awakening our subtle energies in order to use them in a proper way

Retreats
In our daily life, it isn't easy to find the time and enthusiasm for meditation, and so we need to make time to retreat from our day to day occupations, even if just for one day, in order to gain som experience of inner peace and understanding of the spiritual path. Each month, Entorno de Paz hosts retreats lasting one or two days where we can go deeper into the various Ngalso Self-Healing practices.
There is time to give more detailed explanations and to share experiences. For those relatively new to the centre, it allows the chance to get to know the other Ngalso practices, for the more experienced, it is a chance to gain experience and seek clarification on particular points of the practices. Retreats focussing on Buddhist teachings are also programmed on special days of the Buddhist calendar.
On such days the effects of our actions are multiplied and so it the retreats provide a great way to accumulate merits and eliminate the many obstacles on our spiritual path.
Guru Puja
The Guru Puya (Lama Chöpa in Tibeten) is a long meditation and feast assembly to make offerings to the Spiritual Master. It accumulates merit, purifies our vows, and pacifies negative energies. The practice is an overview of the teachings of the Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions that shows us how to integrate the practices of Lam Rim, Lojong and Mahamudra, thus helping us to meditate on the three principal yidams of the Gelugpa School: Yamantaka, Guyasamaya and Heruka.
This practice is especially practised on the 10th and 25th day of the Tibetan month, and is dedicated to achieving internal and world peace. In addition, we can dedicate the puja for people who are ill, or have recently died; and/or for the success of personal or social projects. You can bring food to offer and share during the puja.
